Max the office dog has been an employee of Dogs Today magazine for the past five years. He was rescued from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in October 2002 and since then has become a well-known face both in the magazine and also as the logo for the Wag and Bone Show. Despite his recent retirement to the Norfolk countryside, he still has many adventures.

Goodbye Maxy. You were dearly loved, you will be dearly missed, and we will have very fond memories of your antics, your waggy tail, your big funny ears and your big wet nose.
We will miss you, but we will always be grateful that we knew you and were able to spend so many happy times together. Lots of love xxx
Sorry to hear about Max. Our beautiful shepherd , Bonnie, passed away yesterday. She was diagnosed at a similar time to Max and the disease seemed to take a scarily similar course and unfortunately time scale. In the end there was more going on than the CDRM but we couldn't put her through more tests and her mobility was very poor she would have been miserable. The time was right to say goodbye. She was a few weeks short of her 15th birthday, a pretty good life span for a shepherd.
